The 3M Xtract Cubitron film disc 775L has a unique 3M multi-hole pattern for better dust extraction during finishing. Part of the 3M Xtract range, developed for optimal dust removal. Our innovative multi-hole pattern extracts dust better than products with five or six holes, increasing cutting performance and significantly extending the life of the disc. The design does not require alignment with the holes of the disc holder, making disc changes quick, easy and convenient. With 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, a revolutionary development in sanding technology. The triangular ceramic mineral is made to cut through the substrate instead of grooving or 'ploughing' like traditional abrasives. This results in an abrasive disc that cuts up to 2x faster and lasts up to 6x longer than conventional abrasives. The film backing is flexible, has excellent tear resistance, and delivers a consistent, uniform finish on a variety of substrates.
These discs are ideal for a range of applications that primarily focus on material removal and can be used effectively on a variety of substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat and soft wood. The foil backing offers greater resistance to tearing than paper discs, for extra durability and edge retention. Use these discs with 3M Xtract eccentric sanders for best results. The open construction means the abrasive grains are placed with space between them, allowing dust and other sanding debris to be evacuated and preventing clogging of the cutting edge of the grains. The full-flow coating ensures that the disc has a long-lasting cutting action even when sanding soft wood, varnish and other materials, where discs usually fill up quickly so that sanding capacity is reduced. All this ensures higher productivity and lower material consumption. Sanding paper discs have better cutting action and last longer when the cutting surface of the abrasive does not fill up with dust. Our unique multi-hole pattern in 3M Xtract products removes dust faster than products with five or six holes. With this hole design, the holes do not need to be aligned with holes in the disc holder, making disc replacement quick and easy. Use this disc for maximum dust extraction with a 3M Xtract backing pad and an eccentric sander with dust extraction (both sold separately).
